I wanted to love this place because it's local, convenient, and has a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, after several visits, the food and drink quality just haven't matched the experience. The location is convenient, there's almost never a wait, and the atmosphere is genuinely nice. A limited food menu doesn't bother me at all if what's offered is done well. The bagels are perfectly good, but unfortunately the breakfast sandwiches have been consistently disappointing. The eggs and meat are dry, and they taste as though they've been prepared ahead of time and reheated. I don't expect greasy diner food, but I do expect a breakfast sandwich to have a little life to it. The coffee itself is a bit darker roasted than I personally prefer, but that's clearly their style, so I can't really fault them for that. What really surprised me was the coffee cake. Instead of tasting buttery or sweet, it had an odd flavor that reminded me of a cleaning product. I couldn't finish it. The final straw for me was stopping in for a simple iced coffee and finding out they don't offer one. Stonefruit Coffee at YSU is hands down one of my favorite spots! The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and perfect whether you’re stopping in to relax or get some work done. The owners are truly amazing and have created such a welcoming environment that keeps people coming back. Every employee is friendly, kind, and makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The service is always top-notch, and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. The coffee is consistently delicious—always fresh, flavorful, and made just right. And I have to give a special shoutout to Bryan, my favorite barista, who always goes above and beyond! The location at YSU is super convenient, making it an easy go-to spot. Over 6$ for a basic cappuccino is truly insane; while it was good quality, it felt very overpriced and the price for a basic cappuccino wasn't listed anywhere on the menu. The blueberry bagel was overly sweet, especially with the strawberry cream cheese. It felt a bit more like I was eating a donut, unfortunately. The staff was very nice though and my items were ready quickly.

Stonefruit is one of those coffee shops that never disappoints. The drinks are always top quality, the pastries were fresh, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and lively. The workers are not only friendly but also know how to handle the busy environment so everything still feels smooth and welcoming. It’s a spot you can count on whether you’re stopping in quick or staying a while. One of the baristas in particular stood out — not only super funny, but also made the visit even more enjoyable with her cute and bubbly personality! She had long dark brown hair and was pretty tall and a bit ethnic looking. She made my drink and it was probably the best coffee I have ever had.
